Description

While my husband took close-ups of the red rocks over on that rise, I sat amidst the sage and juniper and took in the whole, vast panorama of natural red rock highrises, the foothills of the Rockies and a glimpse of ancient seabed aka the Great Plains. I couldn't make the format work so I cut and extended my sketchbook page. Still smell the dry, deserty air and feel the contrast between sun and shade...a treasured memory even now.
